Progress is slow...but steady

I thought it was time for an update.  I’d been waiting to have more news and we did get some positive news on Friday.  The test I was to have in early February was postponed until March 4th for reasons out of my control.  That test is now complete and I move up to the next level in this “Journey to Transplantation” that has taken longer than I ever thought it would.

I have a follow up appointment with my local liver doctor late next week & then we’re off to Stanford again on March 21st.   That’s really all the medical news I have at this time.
My heart continues to beat J,  though spastically and sometimes furiously, it’s still ticking along.

And though over the course of the last couple of weeks new symptoms have appeared, causing exhaustion to set in early in the day, I was grateful to be able to take the kids to their first concert last week!  Our whole family had a great time.  I was certainly wiped out by the time it was over-but it was worth the memories it made for the kids!  We even got to hear my last Blog song live!  “Tell Your Heart to Beat Again” by Danny Gokey.

No, my latest song wasn’t from our concert but it’s been running through my head throughout this week so I think it’s meant to be shared:

Cast my Fears-Finding Favour

When fear feels bigger than my faith
And struggles steal my breath away

When my back's pressed up against the wall
With the weight of my worries stacked up tall
You're strong enough to hold it all

I will cast my cares on You
You're the anchor of my hope
The only one who's in control
I will cast my cares on You
I'll trade the troubles of this world
For Your peace inside my soul

This war's not what I would've chosen
But You see the future no one knows yet

And there's still good when I can't
See the working of Your hands
You're holding it all

I will cast my cares on You
You're the anchor of my hope
The only one who's in control
I will cast my cares on You
I'll trade the troubles of this world
For Your peace inside my soul

Im finding there's freedom
When I lay it all on Your shoulders

Cast my cares
I will
Cast my cares
I will
Cast my cares on You
