Happy Mother's Day
Tomorrow Mother’s Day is celebrated in many countries in our small world. This year is my first Mother’s Day without my
mom, and though I am feeling melancholy about her not being here
with me, I know she’s
spending Mother’s Day in the greatest place she could have ever imagined. I
look forward to the day we celebrate again together.
I heard this song at our church’s annual Women’s Tea last
Saturday. As the speaker & her son (via
video feed) began to sing, the lyrics pierced my soul. When they sang the lyrics- “I’m going to walk
with my granddaddy…” - I sat there picturing my mom. I know how much she loved her grandfather and
what a role model he was to her growing up.
I felt led to share this song for her. As a reminder to my siblings and others who mourn her loss, that it is only “our” loss that we mourn. She’s experiencing a joy that we cannot even imagine and can only hope to achieve some day.

Here’s to you Mom. Happy
Mother’s Day!
